Reduce Emissions in Contaminated Soils

A customer used our Carbonil ST product as an encapsulator/deodorant for soil which was contaminted with various odorous compounds including benzene, toluene, sulfide, and other aromatics. These compounds were approximately 1-6 feet below the surface.

The customer chose Carbonil ST because of it's excellent encapsulation qualities as well as the pleasant fragrance that helps mask the site area.

Carbonil ST was diluted with water and then foamed into the soil. Immediately they reported lower emission rates and a dramatic reduction in the foul smell. As the earth as penetrated during the escavation, more Carbonil ST was sprayed to thwart emissions and odors.

The customer completed the job and did not recieve any odor complaints from the surrounding community.
